Getting there
From Kaohsiung, take ground transport to Donggang Ferry Terminal, then a ferry of about 25–30 minutes to Xiaoliuqiu. Ferry-plus-scooter bundles are often the best value.
Best time to visit
April–October is peak season with stable seas for water activities. Summer is prime time to observe sea turtles.
